1. Information we handle

Vehicle listings and page information

When you use the page-scanning feature, including opening the panel where scanning starts automatically, the extension can read the current page’s URL and relevant listing content, such as VIN, year, make, model, trim, mileage, asking price, seller name, and vehicle location. This may include information embedded in the listing’s page data. It uses this information to identify vehicles and populate the analysis. It does not request your browser’s full browsing-history database.

Information you enter

We handle the VIN and pickup and destination locations you enter. These can include ZIP codes, cities, or addresses. The local deal calculator handles purchase price, fees, transport cost, reconditioning, other costs, expected retail price, and desired profit. The extension does not ask for payment-card details, bank credentials, or credit history.

Preferences, results, and technical information

The extension can save an optional default destination in local extension storage. It handles provider responses, source statuses, and retrieval times to display results. Our backend and infrastructure providers receive technical request information, including IP address and request metadata, for request delivery, security, diagnostics, and abuse prevention.

Seller information or addresses can identify individuals. Please enter only information needed for the vehicle analysis. The extension does not request health records, passwords, personal communications, or unrelated click and keystroke tracking.

2. How information is used

• Detect and identify vehicles on the current listing page.
• Retrieve vehicle specifications, recall records, listing data, and road distance.
• Calculate deal costs, expected profit, and maximum-bid estimates from your assumptions.
• Display data sources, limitations, and warnings.
• Create reports and carry out your copy, download, print, share, or quote actions.
• Remember the destination you choose to save and protect the API service from abuse.

Calculator inputs are processed in the extension for calculations and reports. Vehicle details extracted from a listing, including its URL and price when available, may also accompany an analysis request to our backend.

3. Requests and external providers

Clicking Analyze sends the selected VIN, relevant vehicle details, and supplied route information to our API service using HTTPS. Our backend calls providers needed for the requested results:

• Cloudflare: hosts the API service and processes incoming requests and technical metadata.
• NHTSA: receives the VIN for decoding and vehicle year, make, and model for supported recall queries.
• MarketCheck: receives vehicle lookup parameters, such as VIN, for listing or market data supported by the enabled integration.
• Google Maps Platform / Routes: receives pickup and destination locations to calculate driving distance when those locations are supplied.

These providers process requests under their applicable terms and privacy practices. Provider availability and returned information can vary. We do not send your complete browsing history to these services.

4. Reports and quote requests

Reports may contain VINs, vehicle details, listing URLs, route locations, financial assumptions, calculated results, and source information. PDF downloads are created on your device. Copy places the report on your clipboard; print sends it through your chosen printing service; share sends it through the destination you select. Your operating system, clipboard synchronization, printer, or chosen sharing service may handle copies under its own settings and policies.

The quote button opens the Titan America Brokers website. Depending on the installed version, VIN and route information may be included in that link. Information you subsequently submit for a quote or send to us is handled to respond to your inquiry and provide the requested service. Website hosting may separately process normal web request metadata.

5. Storage and retention

Analysis results and calculator inputs are held in the running extension session. TITAN ONE does not maintain a server-side database of completed reports or an account-based report history. Session data is not designed to persist after the extension session ends.

A saved destination remains in local extension storage until it is changed or cleared, or the extension is removed. Downloaded reports, printed copies, clipboard contents, and shared reports remain under your control or the controls of your chosen services.

Technical logs and security records may be retained by our infrastructure and API providers under their service settings, security requirements, and retention policies. The absence of a report database does not mean that no technical records exist. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address requests and meet applicable obligations.

6. Permissions

• activeTab: access the current tab in connection with the extension’s vehicle-scanning feature.
• scripting: run packaged extraction code to detect vehicle information on that page.
• sidePanel: show the analyzer alongside the listing.
• storage: remember optional local preferences.
• Host access: connect to the configured API backend to request analysis data.

The extension’s executable code is packaged with the extension; API responses provide data. Provider API credentials are maintained on the backend rather than supplied by extension users.

7. Limited Use commitments

TITAN ONE’s use and transfer of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

• We do not sell user data.
• We use or transfer data only for the extension’s stated purpose and permitted supporting needs, such as security or compliance with law.
• We do not use or transfer user data for personalized advertising or unrelated profiling.
• We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• Human access is limited to permitted circumstances, such as your consent for support, necessary security investigations, or legal obligations.

Transfers may occur where needed to provide the service, comply with law, protect security, or as part of a permitted business transfer subject to applicable privacy commitments.

8. Your choices and requests

You can enter a VIN manually, leave route fields empty, choose whether to analyze, and decide whether to save a destination or export a report. To remove a saved destination, turn off the remember-destination option and complete an analysis, or clear the extension’s local data. Removing the extension removes its local extension storage; separately downloaded or shared files must be deleted separately.

Contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we hold about you. Include enough context to locate the relevant request, without sending passwords or API credentials. We may need to verify your identity. Some provider-held records or legally required records may be outside our ability to delete.

9. Security

We use HTTPS for service requests and backend storage of provider credentials. Access controls and usage limits help protect the service. No transmission or storage method is completely secure; users should protect their devices and review reports before sharing them.

10. Policy updates

We may update this policy as the extension changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes to data handling will be reflected in this policy and applicable extension disclosures before those practices take effect.
