Auto transport

Car Shipping, Coordinated Door to Door

Open or enclosed, running or not, one vehicle or nine — we price the lane and put it on a vetted carrier.

How it works

What actually happens to your vehicle

Auto transport is a coordination business. We price your lane against what carriers are currently accepting on that route, post or assign the load to a carrier we've vetted, and lock the pickup window in writing before anyone moves.

From there the vehicle is loaded, inspected, and photographed at pickup, hauled to the delivery area, and inspected again at the door. You get the driver's name and cell number, not a tracking page that never updates.

  • Rates priced against live carrier availability, not a guess
  • Carrier authority, cargo insurance, and auto liability verified before dispatch
  • Pickup window, driver name, cell, and delivery ETA confirmed in writing
  • Condition report and photos at both ends

Typical Transit

Cross-country lanes generally run about a week on the road; regional lanes are shorter. Weather, auction backlogs, and remote pickups move the number, so we quote a window and update it rather than promise a date we don't control.

What Affects Price

Distance, vehicle size and weight, whether it runs, open or enclosed, how rural the pickup is, and how many carriers are working that lane this week. Snowbird season and weather swing rates in both directions.

Open vs enclosed

Pick the trailer that fits the car

Open Transport

The industry standard — the same trailers that deliver new cars to franchise stores. Most carriers on the road run open, so pickup is faster and the cost per unit is lower. Vehicles ride exposed to weather and road debris, which is fine for everyday inventory and daily drivers.

  • Best for daily drivers and volume inventory
  • Widest carrier availability, quickest pickup
  • Lowest cost per vehicle

Enclosed Transport

A covered trailer, usually with a liftgate for low-clearance cars and soft straps instead of chains. Fewer of these trucks exist, so it costs more and can take longer to schedule — worth it when the paint is the value of the car.

  • High-line, exotic, classic, and collector vehicles
  • Low-clearance and modified cars
  • Protection from weather and road debris

Condition

Operable vs Inoperable

An operable vehicle starts, moves under its own power, brakes, and steers. Anything else is inoperable and needs a winch-equipped truck, which is a smaller pool of carriers and a higher rate.

Tell us up front if it doesn't run, and specifically whether it rolls, brakes, and steers — those three answers decide whether a winch is enough or the unit needs a forklift. A car that turns out to be a no-run at pickup gets left behind and costs everyone a day.

Delivery

Door to Door

The carrier picks up and delivers as close to your address as the truck can legally and safely get. These trailers are up to 80 feet long, so narrow streets, low branches, tight apartment lots, and residential restrictions sometimes mean meeting at a nearby shopping center or wide lot.

The driver calls ahead to arrange it. If your street is tight, tell us when you book and we'll plan the meeting point in advance instead of on the phone at delivery.
